David Banner, New Album, New Film
David Banner has a new album coming out soon. But, he’s also prepping the release of This Christmas, a film he’s made with friend Chris Brown.
“I always wanted to do a Christmas movie about what really happens for us in the ‘hood during Christmas, ’cause Christmas isn’t really a good time for people where I’m from,”David Banner told MTV about his new film. “What I do like about ‘This Christmas’ is it really shows that it doesn’t matter what kind of family you have — black, white, Latino — we all bring a lot of problems home. We also bring a lot of light and a lot of joy home too, so ‘This Christmas’ really shows how this synthesis works.”
David Banner, who also appears in Black Snake Moan, will be releasing what he calls “the best album ever in history” informs Hiphopdx.com.
